The first North American Championship qualifier for MLG X Games Aspen will kick off tonight, with 16 teams taking part in the tournament. Hosted by CEVO, the first of two North American Championship Qualifiers will run from December 15-18 and feature the top eight sides from the first regional open qualifier and eight teams invited by MLG. Just like its European counterpart, the North American qualifier will use a single-elimination, best-of-three format, with the winning side securing a place at MLG X Games Aspen, from January 23-25. One of the most interesting aspects about this qualifier is that it will provide fans with the opportunity to see iBUYPOWER and Denial fielding their new rosters after they picked up Sam "DaZeD" Marine and Eric "adreN" Hoag, respectively.
